The smart way to get your start…

IS TO GET TRAINED.

Hello!

DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats offer a simple low-stress way to make money.

What I enjoy most about this work is the extreme flexibility.

  • I work when I want.

  • I stop working when I want.

  • And if I am late to start my day — it’s no big deal! Because I have no supervisor.

I can take a day off whenever I want.

I can take a vacation whenever I want.

If I have a dentist appointment or need to be home because the plumber is coming — it’s no problem! Because I have complete schedule flexibility with DoorDash, which is the dominant food delivery app around here.

And when a shift is going well and the money is coming in better than usual, it’s fun!

I get a feeling of satisfaction out of it.

The thing that puts new dashers at a major disadvantage
is their lack of training.

Everybody new to this is stumbling as they journey their way through the learning curve. And as they make their mistakes, they actually run the risk of being permanently “deactivated” (fired for life) if too many mistakes are made.

And what’s the deal with the photo above?

That is an actual food delivery gig driver who just picked up a restaurant order and is placing it in his trunk while the driver behind him is in the process of parallel parking.

He completely trusted the driver not to accidentally crush his legs while backing up and going forward to position her car in that space. YOU DON’T TAKE CHANCES LIKE THAT, EVER.

Focusing on the order is good but it’s important to be mindful of what is going on around you and to practice RISK REDUCTION. This is part of what I teach.

Get a smart start.

Mobile orders waiting to be delivered…

If this work interests you, you can go on Youtube and get self-educated. But the quantity of gig-work videos out there is overwhelming. You could spend weeks doing this form of study and probably still lack confidence in doing your first deliveries. You are likely to still make a lot of mistakes too.

I have an easier, faster and better solution when you factor in THE VALUE OF YOUR TIME.

Why not just pay me a fair price to show you the ropes?

In other words, we do a trade that makes sense for both of us. You pay a training fee to me. In return you position yourself for faster success in food delivery gig work.

We begin with a “ride along” where we use YOUR phone and YOUR app accounts to get the orders, which means you are already making money on Day 1, while I am training you.

Afterwards, you get 30 days of email lessons to reinforce and further advance your learning.

Reality: app companies do not teach you what you really need to know so that you will be more likely to accept their worst offers.

Here’s a test for you:

You got an order to pick-up some water ice on a hot weekend night. After arriving, you find this water ice shop is very busy. What would you do in this situation? How would you handle it?

a.) Wait your turn in line, then collect the order.
b.) Go to the front of the line, but in and ask if the order for [your customer’s name] is ready.
c.) Unassign the order immediately if it’s clear you can’t be very promptly serviced.
d.) Not accept the order because you know this place is a nightmare on weekend nights.

Get ahold of me and I’ll tell you the answer. Here’s my email: info@gigjump.net

Without training, you will likely be handicapping yourself for
months as you figure out on your own how this all works.

If this training had been available to me when I got started in this business…

I DEFINITELY would have had better knowledge on how to play this game and it would have certainly made me MORE MONEY.

It all would have been easier and more satisfying to me.

You’re already learning new things, aren’t you?
That’s the idea — I am here to help you succeed.

When you rapidly learn how this game works, you set yourself up to…

  • generate better results more quickly than if you just plunged in without any guidance or preparation.

  • You pay for this training and in return you get an advantage that will increase your likelihood of success, and your likelihood of deriving satisfaction from this work.

  • When you consider the big picture — how much money you will be making throughout the next year, it simply makes business sense, because even the smallest improvements you learn through me will add up significantly over time.

Instead of languishing as the mistake-making amateur, you will be the professional who knows how to conduct business.

AND… your training is a business expense, which will be fully deductible on your federal income taxes (Schedule C).

It really is a no-brainer.

What will you be learning?

Among the many enlightening things I will teach you:

  • How the apps work, including how to unassign an order, which is very important to know.

  • How to make good choices with which delivery opportunities to accept and which delivery opportunities to decline.

  • How to deal with restaurants. (Important.)

  • How to handle the drop-offs, and how to deal with customers in ways that increase your chances of getting post-delivery bonus tips.

  • When to contact support for help.

  • Plus the biggest thing of all — I’ll be sharing a huge number of tips I’ve learned from my extensive experience in doing this work.

  • In addition, if you will be working in my area, you will learn very useful local market knowledge that I have acquired over all this time.

  • Plus more!

It all adds up to a very useful and very helpful introduction to the food delivery gig business that is going to make your start much easier.

Training or No Training?

Let’s consider the two different scenarios…

The Usual Path — longer learning curve, NO TRAINING:

  • You start out confused, stressed and unsure of yourself.

  • It's so stressful that you don't work long before calling it a day, which means you get into a habit of making less money than you could.

  • Over weeks and months you stumble again and again, making beginner mistakes here and there. And you make less money because you don't make enough good choices.

It takes a long, long time to develop a level of sophistication with this and for you to join the ranks of the smart people who are doing this work.

This is how it goes for most people. It is a long, slow process of evolution.

The Smarter Path — shorter learning curve, WITH TRAINING:

  • You spend some money to hire an experienced food delivery gig driver to show you the ropes, right from the very beginning.

  • You rapidly come to understand how it all works and learn important strategies.

  • Since you are getting familiarized with the work by a pro, you become much more confident in doing the deliveries and your stress level is much lower than the typical newbie.

  • You learn strategies that help you make better choices, which leads to more income.

  • You receive on-going email lessons for 36 days that reinforce your learning and take you further and faster on the journey towards becoming a sophisticated food delivery gig worker.

Six months into the future you reflect on your investment in your initial training and without any doubt you know you made the right choice. It set you up to make the most of this gig work.

Meanwhile… somebody else who started at the same time as you but didn't get this training is:

  • still learning the ropes,

  • still making critical beginner mistakes,

  • still not maximizing the gig opportunity like you have done.

Had they made the investment, which wasn't much to begin with, they would have been far better off. But they didn't have the vision or good sense that you did.

Not only are you maximizing the opportunity, but you are also managing your delivery business in an intelligent, organized way. And when it comes to tax time, you will have a very documented, very sizable & valuable, and very defendable mileage deduction for the business use of your car. That's what smart gig drivers do. And your training taught you this.

But the beginner who didn't do this training… they are:

  • still uninformed,

  • still accepting the worst orders,

  • and they probably are not even documenting their mileage.

Which path is the better path?

“I’ll show you how it’s done.” — Ed Ryder

It's a no-brainer, isn't it?

It's crystal clear, the better path is the smarter path with the shorter learning curve. This is the path to win. The other is the path of struggle. Why struggle? Why do that to yourself when you don’t have to?
